The House recently approved legislation allowing CBD use by the military for the first time. The bill sponsered by Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) also filled amendments to include the federal research into potential applications of the hemp crop. In February the Department of Defense approved a policy banning all active and reserve service members from using hemp products stating that the exposure to excess THC was to great. The bill is a response to the DOD and their stance on CBD. Many Veterans and Active Duty members will be able to find a natural way to help with insomnia, inflammation, pain relief and countless other ailments if the government eventually allows the use of CBD.
